Weather can change during the day so bring extra layers and wind protection.

Avoid cotton clothing (like jeans) for winter outdoor activities because it holds moisture and wicks heat away from the body.

What you should bring: Clothing to suit the day (think layers), winter boots with gaiters or way to block deep snow from getting into tops of boots. Sunglasses or goggles, lip balm is helpful for dry/cracked lips, water and a snack.
